CM Marine Safety Equipment is a lifejacket company that is prototyping life jackets made specifically to industry standards and for commercial fishing. The lifejackets will be produced to meet the everyday needs of fishermen and ensure their safety

Fishing Partnership is a non-profit support services organization dedicated to improving the health, safety, and economic security of commercial fishermen, their families, and their communities. Founded in 1997, we bring critical support services and programs to more than 20,000 New England fishing families.

The Life Jacket Association is an industry association dedicated to increasing lifejacket wear in all appropriate activities: through education, product innovation, standards development, and enhancing communication between members and stakeholders.

We strive to ensure that fishermen have the community infrastructure and environmental resources to maintain Maine's coastal cultural identity and sustain vibrant working waterfronts for this and future generations of Maine fishermen.

Protecting the Future & Preserving the Past of Maine's Lobstering Industry. The MLCA’s mission is to foster thriving coastal communities and preserve Maine’s lobstering heritage. The Maine Lobster Community Alliance is an educational and charitable organization that educates the public about Maine’s lobstering heritage, supports scientific research to further the industry’s conservation ethic and stewardship of ocean resources, and provides charity to distressed fishing families.

The Department of Marine Resources is established to conserve and develop marine and estuarine resources; to conduct and sponsor scientific research; to promote and develop the Maine coastal fishing industries; to advise and cooperate with local, state, and federal officials concerning activities in coastal waters; and to implement, administer, and enforce the laws and regulations necessary for these purposes..." — Maine Title 12, Chapter 603 §6021.

The Maine Lobstermen's Association (MLA) has played a leading role in shaping the lobster fishery for 70 years. Founded in 1954, the MLA works tirelessly to represent our members on lobster issues. We endeavor to balance the economic realities of the industry with the conservation needs of the resource.

The mission of all courses offered by McMillan Offshore Survival Training, is to provide workers in the offshore petroleum, aviation and marine industries, with the essential skills, knowledge and confidence to survive potentially life-threatening situations. Participants receive both classroom and hands on training in the use of lifesaving equipment required by both government and industry.
